Our dog dental treatments are in two stages. Stage 1 is a thorough assessment of the mouth, including X-rays, under anaesthetic with IV fluids, followed by periodontal treatment to clean the mouth and remove tartar. If we find teeth that need to be removed, we recommend a Stage 2 procedure. We give you an accurate estimate of what needs to be done and what it would cost. We typically book in the Stage 2 procedure for a month after Stage 1. The evidence suggests that, a month after cleaning up diseased teeth, they can have improved enough for us to reduce the number of extractions (and the cost of doing them).
