Our story

“We’re building clinics where I’d want my own pets to receive care, and my children to learn what it means to be a vet.”

Dr. Oli Viner

Hello. We’re Oli, James and Ale, the founders of Hello Vet.

We believe that if we create the best place for our team to work, we’ll also create the best place for pets to receive care. We’ve spent our careers in veterinary, health and social care, and we’ve seen time and time again that the best care is delivered by happy, well-supported teams who are able to build personal, collaborative relationships with their clients.

We’ve designed Hello Vet around this principle of collaboration, allowing clients to message our team any time, and even support their pets during procedures. We’re at the beginning of an exciting journey - if you’d like to be a part of it please reach out and say hi.

How we started

2022

Oli, James and Ale meet and Hello Vet is born (originally called Eve, after Oli’s daughter, who wants to be a vet when she grows up).

2023

After a year of planning, Christian and Belinda (long-time friends and colleagues of Oli) join to lead our teams of vets and nurses.

2024

The team grows to include a talented group of local veterinary professionals.

Everyone gets hands-on in preparation for the launch of our first clinic in Hackney.

We open our door in London Fields, and become the UK’s first vet clinic designed to allow clients to stay by their pets’ side during procedures and become a part of their healthcare team.

Little Vets

Most vets knew they wanted to be a vet when they were in primary school. We’re here to turn curious minds into the next generation of pet-pros.

Little Vets is a fun, hands-on way for vets-in-the-making to learn what it’s really like to work as a vet, from someone who does it every day. During our school assemblies and in-clinic days, kids ages 6-11 help us to bandage paws, check heartbeats and look inside the tummies of our pretend pet helpers. Plus, we study x-rays, teeth and the tools vets use to treat our pets’ problems.

We plan to run Little Vets every year, so keep your eyes peeled.
